Chris Bordenca from Ludlow, MA brings his realistic paintings of vintage and retro toys to Gallery Marquee in Fitchburg, MA. Feel the nostalgia with colorful still-life paintings including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, He-Man and Castle Grayskull, Star Wars figures, Rubick’s Cubes, monsters, robots, Batman Pez Dispensers, and much, much more! Come relive your 70’s, 80s, and 90s best toy life or see these toys in painted form for the first time (and let your parents/grandparents tell you all about them!)

 

On Exhibit from Thursday, November 7th – Saturday, January 4th.

Opening reception: Saturday, November 16th from 2-4pm. Free and open to the public with complimentary light refreshments.

 

Chris Bordenca is a painter whose work focuses on a personal connection to objects and places from his youth in the 70’s and 80’s including paintings of action figures, toys, and video games from the era. After a ten-year hiatus he returned to painting mid

2018. Since then, Chris has shown his work around New England in various group shows, as well as a solo show in Amherst, MA. Several paintings have been given awards, including most recently The Outer Limits, which won Honorable Mention for

acrylic painting at the Northeast Fine Arts Exposition. He was the Amherst Public Art Commission’s featured artist for Nov/Dec 2020 and made his first appearance at the 2023 Spring Paradise City Arts Festival in Northampton, MA. His work can be found in shops in Plymouth, Provincetown, and Salem, and Northampton, MA. Numerous paintings are owned by collectors around the world. Chris is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree. He lives with his family in Ludlow, MA.
